ABOUT HER

My interest for all things sweet came from watching and admiring my mothers magical baking abilities in the kitchen growing up and like most children, I would occasionally sneak a bite when she wasn't looking! The older I got, the more I found myself deeply immersed in watching the Food Network baking shows. I was always left feeling amazed and inspired! As the years went on, my passion for baking and decorating became evident - it became my creative outlet and tranquil escape. 

The beginning of Sugar Rush set forth in 2013 when I decided to sell treats dipped in chocolate in order to raise funds for a local youth group trip I wanted to attend. After months in the kitchen I started to make my own cakes and before I knew it I was officially a baker/cake decorator! 

I got my foot in the door by gaining professional experience over the course of 5 years with one of Florida's top 3 bakeries. Upon closing, my passion progressed into a self-reliant journey towards achieving my own dream bakery. 10 years later, we found ourselves expanding rapidly. After some thought, my husband and I decided it was time for a change, thus the start-up of what we know now as HER Cake Co!
